Human Variability
in Computer Generated Forces (HV-CGF)
Agent Oriented Software Limited,
the AOS Group's UK company, won a hotly contested research
tender from the Ministry of Defence (MoD). AOS Limited is
the prime contractor with QinetiQ Limited, Pennsylvania State
University and The University of Melbourne as subcontractors.
The research will employ AOS's intelligent software agent
product, JACK™, as its technological base.
JACK provides a generic architecture for collaboration and
control of complex systems and has a strong user base in
modeling behaviors
in simulation. Over the past few years, agent technology has
proven itself in military simulation systems in the UK, Australia,
Canada, France and Japan, so JACK agents are a natural foundation
for
modeling
intelligent Computer Generated Forces (CGF) in the HV-CGF scenario.

New in Jack v5.0:
The JACK Development Environment (JDE) has been extended to provide
the ability to trace execution using JACK Design Diagrams.
After configuring the JDE to trace certain diagrams, it can connect to a running JACK™ application and when any transitions occur that match links in the diagram, they will be highlighted.
